Mersey walk

With the poor weather we stuck close to home and walked along Mersey. It gave me the chance to get some photos for my Stockport Heritage Trust blog. You have to go there to see the photos.

Windgatherer Walk

LanWe arranged to meet Steve at Pym's Chair car park. Unfortunately it took me 40 minutes to find the car park, by which time Steve had gone. So we found a walk of our own, down to Windgatherer rocks and back. We could at least Steve's house from there. We we met up with Steve on return to the car park had had a drink of Absolution at Swan Inn, which washed down any guilt I may have had at being late.

Rainow Round Walk

We went for a 4 mile walk from Bollington, up to White Nancy, the curious small tower celebrating victory over Napolean, to Rainow and back again.

Mersey by moonlight

Mersey by moonlight II

Now I am working in Altrincham, it's more practical for me to use public transport. Which I like to do sometimes to be green and healthy.

Walking back from the bus I went via the Mersey. Despite the total absence of lighting on some sections I felt inspired to see what my camera would make of the gloom.

Once enhanced on my PC, some of the photos were quite exciting.
